Technical Surveillance Counter Measures

The Superyacht Debugging Experts

Sectech finds and removes covert listening devices, hidden cameras and eavesdropping equipment aboard superyachts, before your next negotiation, charter or family gathering takes place in front of them.

Enquiries held in strict confidence UK-based Available across European waters

Confidential conversations happen in places most security firms never think to check.

Why yachts are different

A boardroom with none of a boardroom's security

Superyachts routinely host the same negotiations, legal discussions and confidential introductions as any headquarters, but with a fraction of the physical security and none of the same scrutiny of who has been on board.

  • Access

    Constant turnover

Crew, charter guests, contractors and provisioners rotate through private quarters all season. Each one is an opportunity to plant a device, and few are ever vetted for it.

  • Structure

    Nowhere to hide from

Custom joinery, AV systems and HVAC ductwork create thousands of concealment points. A visual check alone will never find what a proper sweep does.

  • Assumption

    The offshore illusion

International waters feel private. They aren't, and that false confidence is precisely when principals speak most freely.

  • Power

    Power that never runs out

Modern yacht wiring lets a device tap live power directly, recording indefinitely with no battery to fail or replace.

The service

One service. Total focus.

Technical Surveillance Counter Measures, or TSCM, is also known as bug sweeping, electronic debugging, counter-surveillance or eavesdropping and wiretap detection. It is the only service Sectech provides, which means it's the only service we're distracted by.

In plain terms

A sweep is a physical and electronic inspection of a vessel to find hidden microphones, cameras, GPS trackers and transmitters, then confirm in writing that a space is clear before a sensitive conversation takes place in it.

  1. 01

Owner's stateroom, guest cabins & main salon

Every space a principal actually uses for private conversation.

  2. 02

    Bridge, crew quarters & tenders

Including support vessels and launches, not just the primary hull.

  3. 03

    AV, satcom & network systems

Where a compromised device is easiest to disguise as legitimate equipment.

  4. 04

Full RF spectrum & physical inspection

RF spectrum analysis, non-linear junction detection and hands-on structural search, combined.

Why Sectech

The debugging specialists, not a bolt-on

Most security providers offer TSCM as one line among many: guarding, close protection, cyber, sweeping, all spread across a generalist team. Sectech's entire practice is built around one discipline. One standard, no divided attention.

Every engagement starts under NDA. We report findings to you and only you, in writing, the same day. We then recommend a realistic schedule rather than a single visit that's forgotten by next season.

How it works

From first message to written report

  1. 01

    Confidential enquiry

Tell us the vessel, location and timing. Every conversation is under NDA from the first message.

  2. 02

    The sweep

Our specialists inspect the vessel in person: RF spectrum analysis, physical search and non-linear junction detection across every space that matters.

  3. 03

    Report & programme

A full written report the same day, plus a recommended schedule for sweeps before charter, after refit, or ahead of sensitive meetings.

Client trust

A five-star reputation, earned on the water and off it

These reviews speak to Sectech's wider close-protection and security work: the same team, discretion and standard of delivery we bring to every yacht sweep.
